A small story…

Meet Bert.
Handmade by my mom,
since 1986.

When I was in 5th grade, my mom and dad gave me a puppet that wrapped from my elbow all the way around my neck. I named him Bert. He's been with me on cruises, road trips, and a lot of ordinary Tuesdays. Now mom is making Berts for other families, one at a time.

Why a PuppetMom Bert?

Not a toy. A small companion.

Heirloom-quality

Built to be loved hard. The Bert I got in grade school is still here, fur and all.

Stitched by mom

Every Bert is sewn by one person — my mom — in her sewing room. No factory, no shortcuts.

One of a kind

Pick the fur, the eyes, even a tiny name tag. Your Bert is the only Bert exactly like that.

Meet PuppetMom

She's been sewing magic our whole lives.

Growing up, mom didn't buy us costumes — she made them. One year the whole family went as Muppets (dad as Big Bird, mom as Miss Piggy, my sister as Grover, and me as Kermit). Another year I was Pacman and my sister was Ms. Pacman. She even sewed a two-person Clifford the Big Red Dog for our local Civitan club.

Now she's pouring all of that into making Berts.
